ACHIEVEMENT — The last november 30th, TRACE made a exploit : create a conversation between African youth and a political leader, in the person of Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. More than hundred questions had been ask to the President. The themes approached show the main issues of the young generations in Africa: education, entrepreneurship, success, history shared, migration or the woman rights.
MEDIA COVERAGE— This cultural and political event had been relayed and commented by the french media: Paris Match, l’AFP, Le Point, Le Parisien, BFM… It made also a buzz on social networks in France, USA, CANADA and all the African continent. More than 12 millions views, 3.6 million approached people, 20K views for the teaser of the meeting and one hashtag #TRACEmeetsMacron in trending topic on Twitter— Emmanuel Macron tweets himself several time about the event.
THE FUTURE — This is not for it own interest that the brand chose to make something different. The project of TRACE had never change since its creation: “ to make a link between them, the lovers of afro- urban in the whole world”, according to the CEO of the brand Olivier Laouchez. After aroused their interest, we must offer, to this multicultural world youth, curious and mobile, bridges towards new cultural horizons. It belongs to them to interact with the dynamism which is characterizing them. They will in their way bring something to the building of the grotto.
