Nominations

With 25 years in the audio-visual industry, Valérie has worked at France 3, TPS, Expand and Telfrance. At Trace, she has held the positions of Marketing Director and Overseas Director. Based in Paris, she will be assisted by Jean-Baptiste Loze in the TV Music Programming Department, Ninka Mbaye in the Editorial Content Department, Joël Mirande-Ney in the FM & Digital Radio Department and Rodolphe Huret in the Group Production and Post-Production Department.

She joined Trace in Johannesburg 3 years ago to develop the Group’s mobile services. Prior to Trace, she worked in digital marketing for Unilever, Volkswagen and Manageo (Altares Group). She will be supported by Natalie Mdladla in the Communication and Public Relations Department and Nathalie Romain in the Brand Department.

Valentine has more than 10 years of experience in the entertainment, event and television industries in the English-speaking Africa market, Trace’s first market. Based in South Africa, Valentine will be supported in her area by Anna-Marie Marks as Sales and Marketing Director.

After holding financial positions at Warner Bros France, Groupe DDB and Prosernat, Franck joined Trace in 2017 as Deputy Group CFO. In his new role, he will be assisted by Karine Verstraete, appointed as Group Accounting Director.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Barbara has previously held senior positions over the past twenty years in Italy, England and the United States for media groups such as Discovery, National Geographic, Scripps and Channel 24.

Before joining Trace to co-direct the group’s new e-learning platform, Camille was the co-founder and director of WeThinkCode, a network of 3 coding schools in South Africa developed in partnership with Xavier Niel’s School 42.

Based in South Africa, Prejlin previously worked for mobile operators MTN and Vodacom and was Accenture’s Digital Director for the African continent. He led the audio-visual production company Okhule Media, recently acquired by Trace.

A Franco-Congolese, Gloria has worked on the digital transformation of major international industrial groups in France and the United States (Safran, Turbomeca, KPMG and PwC). Gloria is an activist for social inclusion and equal opportunities.

Since the beginning of 2020 and despite the impact of Covid, Trace has integrated more than 110 new employees into the Group in Africa.

In 2020, more than forty young Africans were recruited by Trace subsidiaries in Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria. More than 70 jobs were confirmed when Trace acquired the Okuhle Media studio.

In 2020, Trace has already recruited 16 young people on work-study programs in France.

Aged from 21 to 26 years old, from BTS to Master 2, from all origins, these young people are spread over more than 10 different jobs in technical, administrative, financial, HR, commercial, creative, music, vocational training and digital.

Parity and Diversity in Recruitment

Diversity and parity are in the Group’s DNA. Since February 2020, Trace achieved a score of 98/100 on the gender equality index.
